A Message From Our Director
Research shows that there are many benefits to children attending preschool, one of which is that it can produce gains in children’s learning and development. We know that when children attend preschool they acquire a foundation for learning, both socially and academically. They develop social and emotional skills; learning how to get along with other children and to share and contribute to the classroom community. Preschool can nurture a child’s curiosity and allow them the opportunity to explore and learn in a safe and structured environment, all while having fun!
The teachers at CVUSD Preschool strive to prepare children and their families for kindergarten and elementary school success. We teach pre-literacy and pre-math concepts so that students have the necessary skills to enter kindergarten. In addition, we offer parent education workshops that help families understand how to register for kindergarten, understand the school choice process and how to be an advocate for their child. |
